Organizations are currently writing grants to be submitted for the Foundations regular Community Grants, as well as the new the Norm Winn grants.

Our long-time Community Grants program, which has gifted more than $3 million since its creation, funds programs and activities that preserve and protect environments and living organisms of the Salish Sea region. You can read about the spring 2024 Community Grant recipients here.
Thanks to a generous gift from Norm Winn, a beloved long-time board member who was an incredible advocate for conservation, we have a new competitive grant opportunity focused on conservation, preservation, and restoration projects in areas beyond our principle Salish Sea focus. The grants are open to conservation-focused non-profit organizations in the states of Alaska, Montana, Oregon, Idaho and Eastern Washington State. The grant guidelines can be read here. Read more about Norm Winn and his valuable contributions to the Foundation and our environment here.
The committees are looking forward to reading the applications with an eye toward fulfilling our mission to protect and preserve our landscapes and waterways in and around the Salish Sea as well as expanding that work to neighboring Northwest states through the Norm Winn grants.
If you know of an organization that would benefit from our grant funding, please share the details with them! All the details and applications can be found on our website. We look forward to reading all the great proposals.
