Field Trips

It’s that time of year! We’re already beginning to receive field trip requests. Throughout the year we host many groups for outdoor educational experiences and with school starting soon, we know we’ll be very busy. If you are considering a field trip at the Preserve, please reach out to us at coordinator@ketalegacy.org soon so we can check dates and get you and your group on the calendar.

Additionally, we are preparing for our part in the Kitsap Salmon Tours, which will be held Nov. 1st, and Bremerton-Kitsap Area Television (BKAT) to create a salmon viewing etiquette Public Service Announcement (PSA), which will be a similar format to the PSA we did about the Foundation last year. We also have activities that we can bring into classrooms to teach about environmental subjects and discuss the value of conservation and restoration of our natural areas.

It still feels like summer, but fall is right around the corner. We look forward to hosting you at the Preserve or visiting your classroom to engage our young people in the value of environmental stewardship and share our love of the lands and waterways.
