A thriving Salish Sea region depends on connections between the waters, mountains, habitat, salmon, and people.

Volunteering for a work party at the Rhododendron Preserve is a great way to make a difference, learn something new, and have fun outdoors.

We welcome volunteers at all levels of expertise. The only requirements are enthusiasm, curiosity, and careful guardianship of the land and its inhabitants.

Our periodic work party volunteer opportunities are announced in our quarterly newsletter.

We are happy to work with volunteers to offer service projects that will fit your specific needs.

Volunteer Waiver

Be sure to download, read, and sign our volunteer waiver before entering the Preserve for work parties and other volunteer shifts.

Join KLF’s efforts to learn more about the forests and streams in our Rhododendron Preserve!  We are seeking two adventurous college-level students in environmental science, forestry, or ecology to participate in our 2024 paid summer intern program.  If you like to be outside, learn about how to protect our preserve, and gain valuable field experience – this opportunity is for you.

2024 Summer Interns have been selected!  Welcome Kathryn and Tristan!

Please check back in January for our 2025 internship program.
