Yes, it’s still technically winter, but we are all dreaming about the great spring and summer days ahead. That’s why now is a good time to explore the education resources page on the website. These activities include those suitable for any age from preschoolers to high schoolers. Many of the activities are easily adapted for a variety of ages.
Our Community Grants program specifically seeks grant requests for educational purposes. We fund many educational programs in our region. We’ve now added a request to our grantees that they share the educational materials they create so that through our resources we can share them with many more educators through our education resources page.
We believe hands-on outdoor education helps people feel connected to the environment and that knowing more encourages people to take steps to protect and preserve natural spaces. As a smaller organization, we have the ability to tailor tours and field trips for families, homeschoolers, and teachers. We take this same approach with the education resources we make available.
It continues to be our goal to excite and engage everyone who takes part in our educational programming on the Preserve. The more we understand the positive impacts we can have across our lands and in our waterways, the more inspired we are to take care of natural spaces for the future.
