Salmon and Kids Connect
The Foundation takes great joy and satisfaction in customizing field trips such as the one for 4th graders that we hosted recently. They wanted to learn about salmon and connect to the Preserve’s salmon run in the life stage they are now.

A Deep Look at Water, Wildlife
The Foundation was excited to participate in the Kitsap Water Festival again this year. This wonderful event brings 3rd and 4th graders from throughout the county to the Kitsap County Fairgrounds for a day of learning about water and how important it is.

Connecting with Students, Fostering Hands-on Learning
At the Foundation, we believe education should connect the learner. It should be interesting. It should engage the senses. When a student goes home after a field trip at our Rhododendron Preserve, we want them to be brimming with excitement about what they experienced and what they learned.
