Tools for Learning

The Foundation has a laser focus on outdoor and environmental education. We believe that when we give children tools that help them learn about the natural environment in ways that meet their learning styles, we gain lifelong stewards of our lands and waters.

As part of this effort, the Foundation has an entire Education Resources section on the website. Our learning resources appeal to a wide range of learning styles. There are links to games, field trip adventures, and videos that appeal to visual learners and everything in between.

We encourage visitors to use our resources to make a visit to the Preserve both fun and educational. You can make a game out of identifying animal tracks or play Forest Bingo or even identify aquatic species. There are so many things to see and explore in Hidden Valley and along the Big Tree Trail.

Learning should be fun and interactive. We hope the resources help you and your family and friends enjoy the Preserve and offer a glimpse into the complex natural spaces of our region.

We always welcome feedback on our Education Resources page. If you have a resource you would like us to include, please reach out to us at coordinator@ketalegacy.org and we’ll work with you to put it on our site.

 Happy learning!
