The Foundation’s Grants committee is actively weighing a variety applications requesting funding for projects and programs. Not only do we view the grant applications through the lens of our Mission and Vision, but we have also put a laser focus on diversity and inclusion for the projects and programs requesting Community Grant funding.
In our last newsletter, I discussed the ripple effect we make when we partner with like-minded groups and bridge the outdoor-experience gap in traditionally marginalized and underserved communities. The grants we awarded earlier this year illustrate the Foundation’s work to increase outreach to groups that share our values of conservation and education. We believe that everyone deserves to experience and learn about the environment, and the role they can play in protecting it.
We encourage you to share our Grants application and information with groups you believe would benefit from Foundation funding for a conservation program or educational opportunity. We have also made space for funding for transportation to the Preserve for groups that would otherwise face a financial barrier accessing the Preserve.
